At the age of 76, he died in the Madrid hostel where Daniel Dicenta lived, a great theater actor, popular on the small screen thanks to “Estudio 1”, which Pilar Miró made a great appearance in the cinema.

His came from family, as he was the son of the actor Manuel Dicenta, and the grandson of the playwright Joaquín Dicenta. He was also married to Lola Herrera , and had two children, Natalia and Daniel, also linked to the theater and film scene.

Daniel Dicenta was born in Valencia in the middle of the civil war, his presence on theater stages since the 1960s made it possible for him to be one of the regular faces of the TVE program “Estudio 1”, where he did many works such as “Uncle Vania”. In cinema he made his debut at the hands of José Luis Sáenz de Heredia with La verbena de la Paloma (1963). Pilar Miró directed him in El crimen de Cuenca (1980) and El pájaro de la felicidad (1993). Imanol Uribe took advantage of him in The Death of Mikel (1984), although his reunion with Lola Herrera was especially emotional in Función de noche (1981), directed by Josefina Molina.

He was also a dubbing actor, but life was not kind to Dicenta, with a difficult character, he had problems with alcohol and in recent years he had Aisge’s assistance to get ahead.
