DANI GARCÍA: HIS AGE, HIS PARTNER, HIS DIVORCE AND HIS DAUGHTERS

Published

on

Born in Marbella in 1976 , his passion for the world of cooking comes to him thanks to his family, dedicated to the hospitality industry. After studying at the School of Hospitality in Malaga La Cónsula, in 1996 he trained with Martín Berasategui in his restaurant.

In 1998 he landed at Tragabuches, the family restaurant, where he did great work until 2004, getting his first star . After that success, he made the leap to Calima, a project in which he got the second, being the first Andalusian chef to win two awards from the prestigious guide.

After a trip to New York, where he trains and learns new business techniques, Dani García completely changes his philosophy and begins an expansion in which he launches his personal brand . In Marbella he will open the first of BiBo’s stores, his great project.

INTERNATIONAL EXPANTION

In 2016 his restaurant would arrive in Madrid, located on Paseo de la Castellana , being a benchmark in the capital among celebrities and gastronomy fans. In addition to his restaurant, Dani García creates a business group that includes an Events division, catering and an NGO.

The Dani García Foundation is dedicated to holding events to help research and disseminate healthy and beneficial eating habits for children . Together with José Andrés, he is one of the most committed chefs on the scene.

In addition to his work as a businessman, Dani has also lent his image to numerous companies in advertising campaigns, an activity for which he has come to be criticized for his collaboration with a fast food chain .

Although with discreet audience results, the chef had a small television experience on TVE presenting the program ‘Hacer de comer ‘, in which he made recipes for all audiences, far removed from the haute cuisine he does in his premises.

YOUR CURRENT PARTNER

Very discreet, Dani García shares with his followers some moments of his personal life on social networks, giving clues to his life at times. The chef is the father of two teenage daughters from his first marriage, which ended in divorce, and with whom he shares as much time as he can.

Although he is an anonymous person, García lives in Marbella with a Russian woman, born in Ukraine, and with her 11-year-old son, although since he was 2 years old he has grown up with him , so he is almost like his father.

Beyond the economic consequences, the war in Ukraine has had an effect on his family, as he confessed in an interview for Nius: « My wife’s mother, a Russian, came to spend a month with us and now she can’t come back. Moscow , has been locked up in Spain ».
