Daniel Carvajal Facts

1. At the age of 10, Carvajal became part of the Real Madrid youth team.
2. In his first season as a senior, he was already in the starting line-up for Real Madrid. Dani was also the captain of the team.
3. After failing to secure a place for himself in Real Madrid’s first team, on July 11, 2012, Dani decided to sign a five-year deal with Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen for a total of €5 million. However, the Spanish club added a €6.5m buyback clause should Carvajal be brought back after just one season, €7m after two and €8.5m after three seasons.
4. Carvajal scored his debut goal for Bayer Leverkusen on 25 November 2014 in a win against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
5. In his first and only season for Bayer Leverkusen, he finished third in the list of the best right-backs in the Bundesliga 2012-2013.
6. On June 3, 2013, Real Madrid decided to take their chance to buy back Daniel. He was officially signed on June 3, 2013 for a fee totaling 6.5 million euros.
