According to Forbes’s real-time net worth, Aliko Dangote’s net worth is $10.7 billion after his net worth was initially listed at the beginning of 2023 to be above $13 billion dollars. The former Africa’s richest person, founded and chairs Dangote Cement, the continent’s largest cement producer.

Additionally, Aliko Dangote who is the majority owner of the Dangote Group which comprises the refinery, cement, and sugar among many others has fallen off from the position of Africa’s richest man after holding the title for over a decade.

Meanwhile, in a remarkable achievement, Dangote successfully launched its fertilizer plant in Nigeria in March 2022 after years of development. This milestone marked a significant step forward for the company, allowing them to expand their product offerings and contribute to the agricultural sector in Nigeria and beyond.

But on the 16th of June 2023, the news broke on the internet that Johann Rupert displaced Dangote as the richest man in Africa, surpassing him as the richest man in Africa with over $2 billion dollars. As of the time of this writing, Rupert is a South African billionaire who deals with luxury goods with brands such as Cartier and Montblanc also owns 7% of diversified investment firm Remgro and also chairs 26% of Reinet, an investment holding company based in Luxembourg is the richest man in Africa with a real-time net worth of $11.9 billion dollars dropping over $63 million dollars over the weekend.
