Dangote Cement Company Emerges Best Performing Company in Africa

Dangote Cement Plc has been named as the best performing company in Africa by the Kogi State Chamber Of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture.

In a statement issued and made available to Journalists on Sunday in Lokoja, President of KOCCIMA, Mr Victor Ibrahim stated that the award was presented by the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja, who represented Kogi state Governor, to the company(Dangote) at the Annual General Meeting of KOCCIMA.

However, Ibrahim, while speaking at the occasion, said the Dangote Cement emerged through a screening process that involved 20 companies.

Furthermore, he said, “Our screening committee considered many criteria before Dangote Cement Plc was selected.”

According to him, Dangote Cement’s contributions to the state’s economy as well as its good relationship with KOCCIMA are what the Chamber put into consideration.
