American-Cuban actress, Danay Garcia is known for her role as Sofía Lugo, Whistler’s girlfriend on the Fox television series, Prison Break . Danay Garcia was born Danay Aguila Garcia on July 5th , 1984 in Havana, Cuba under the birth sign Cancer. Her first name, Danay, refers to the Goddess of Abundance in Greek. Her father’s family is of Chinese-Italian descent, while her mother’s family is of Spanish-Cuban descent.
García was interested in dancing from a very young age. He spent most of his childhood learning various forms of dance, including salsa, ballet, African dance, belly dance, merengue, and flamenco.
