Dana Wynter is known above all for having been the protagonist of The Invasion of Ultra-Corpses . The actress –who appeared in a good number of titles– died on May 5, 2011 at the age of 79, as a result of a heart failure.

Dagna Spencer Marcus was born on June 8, 1931 in the German capital. The daughter of a surgeon who moved her family to the UK, she was to follow in her father’s footsteps and she went on to enroll in medical school, but she eventually dropped out to pursue theatre.

He made his British film debut with Night Without Stars and White Corridors . An actor’s agent noticed her talent and encouraged her to travel to the States to try her luck. Installed in the mecca of cinema, her first role was a small intervention in The fearsome mocker , the adventure film starring Burt Lancaster . She subsequently participated in King Arthur’s Knights .

The high point of Dana Wynter’s career came when the actress was hired to star in Invasion of the Body Snatchers , one of the great science fiction classics. She played the woman who helps Dr. Miles Bennel ( Kevin McCarthy ) investigate the strange behavioral changes of the inhabitants of a small town. In the late 1950s, Wyner starred in Blood on Earth , with Rock Hudson , and Wilderness , opposite James Cagney .

In the 1960s, he combined his participation in series such as El superagente 86 with films such as Hundid el Bismarck or El último de la lista . From the 70s he appears in fewer and fewer films, although his participation in My man is a savage stands out , with Yves Montand and Catherine Deneuve .

Married to attorney Greg Bautzer, the couple had a son named Mark.
