1. When he was 9 years old, he and his family left the DRC because of the bloody armed conflict and moved to Belgium. They eventually settled in Brussels (in Belgium).
2. He began his rap career in 2006 performing at local and underground events.
3. Early in his rap career, he founded the rap collective OPG with his childhood friend Dolfa. They later recruited Ducke, Lio Brown and Rex.
4. He got his first big break after working on Poseidon, which was featured on Booba’s OKLM mixtape.
5. In 2018, the Belgian Football Association announced they would hire Damso to prepare the anthem for participation in the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
