Cynthia Blaise is an American actress, speech trainer, and dialect coach famous for her work in films like 8 Mile, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, The Tiger Hunter, and Key & Peele. Additionally, Blaise was also married to Comedy Central actor and comedian Keegan-Michael Key. The two were together for over 17 years but had to part ways citing irreconcilable differences.

Cynthia first met Comedy Central actor and comedian Keegan-Michael Key when she was a member of the Detroit Acting Community. They were both working at the Detroit Repertory Theater at the time and instantly fell in love with each other. Keegan and Cynthia soon began dating, and on December 27, 1998, they took their vows. According to reports, Blaise supported her husband financially in the early stages of his career. Plus, she’s 14 years older than the comedian, but age is just a number when it comes to romance. The couple even worked together for a few episodes on Key and Peele.
Things were going pretty well for Cynthia and Keegan, but like all good things, it had to end. Key filed for divorce in 2015 and the two officially separated on November 16, 2017. There have been rumors suggesting Keegan’s relationship with Elisa Pugliese was the reason for their separation. Unlike Key, Blaise took the divorce very hard.
