American actor Cress Williams is known primarily for his role in Prison Break. He has also appeared on the television show Close to Home, Hart of Dixie, and Black Lightning; a superhero from American comic books published by DC Comics. His other notable works include Hawthorne, Low Riders, and Friday Night Lights. Williams has been married twice in his life and has two children.
Early life and education of Cress Williams
Cress Williams was born on July 26, 1970 in Heidelberg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany to African-American parents. She is American and is of mixed ethnicity.
Williams studied at Fullerton College and the University of California, Los Angeles. He played in a college production of Othello (Shakespeare’s tragedy) in 1990 during his time at Fullerton. The following year, she acted in another Fullerton production titled Red Roses.

Cress Williams made his career debut working on an American teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210 in 1993. He played D’Shawn Hardell in 13 episodes of the series. The following year, he played Terrence ‘Scooter’ Williams in an American television sitcom, Living Single .
In 1994, Williams worked on television series such as Hardball and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine . She appeared in series including NYPD Blue (1995), Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1996) and Me (1996).
In 1996, Williams appeared in many TV movies including Rolling Thunder, Rebound: The Legend of Earl ‘The Goat’ Manigault, and Home Invasion .
Cress Williams later worked on series like Touched by an Angel, Watching Ellie, and Lair of Lyons in 2003. He has also made few guest appearances on series like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Veronica Mars, The West Wing, Grey’s Anatomy, Grey’s Anatomy, and Friday Night Lights .

Cress Williams is a married man. He married his girlfriend Kristen Torrianni on June 15, 2013, in Texas. His fellow co-stars on the series, Dixie Stag; Scott Porter , Wilson Bethel and Kaitlyn Black attended their wedding ceremony.
Prior to Torrianni, Williams was married to actress Simbi Khali on October 14, 2000 in Malibu, California. The duo met in 2001 at church and became close friends. The couple have two children, a son named Elijah Khali Thomas Williams and a daughter named Amika Khali Williams . They divorced in 2011.
