CHARMED REBOOT FEATURES REIGN’S CRAIG PARKER AS POSSIBLY VILLAINOUS CEO
Posted: September 17, 2018
Charmed may have revealed its first central villain, with Craig Parker (Reign, Lord of The Rings) reportedly added to the cast. While the ‘Power of Three’ and their new whitelighter (Rupert Evans) have all been introduced, this marks the first recurring villain to take on the new trio.
Footage from the Charmed trailer showed the sisters battling seemingly unique demons so far. Maggie (Sarah Jeffery), the youngest, was seen battling an underworld creature disguised as a college classmate, and the trio were seen chanting a victory spell in a lab – possibly. being the workplace of Macy (Madeleine Mantock), the eldest and a geneticist. The original Charmed (1998-2006) initially relied heavily on a procedural structure, with the sisters only discovering loose ties between the antagonists from episode to episode. The Source, the ruler of the Underworld behind the attacks on them, wasn’t revealed until the latter half of Season 2.
Now Parker seems to be in the perfect position to enact a barrage of malevolent schemes to destroy the Charmed Ones. As reported by TVLine, he would play Alastair Caine, the polished CEO of Morningstar Biotech, which funds the college in the city where Macy works, and Maggie and Mel (Melonie Diaz) presumably go to school.
