Coy Wire was born on the 7th of November 1978 in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, United States of America. He was born to his biological parents, Rick and Jane. Her mother is a software analyst. Coy has a brother and a sister. Her mother named her after the Japanese word for ‘love’. She is of Irish, Dutch, German, and Japanese descent.
Coy Wire attended and graduated from Stanford University. Coy was the first player in modern school history to lead the struggling team one year and tackles another.
Career and trajectory
Coy Wire was selected by the Buffalo Bills in the third round of the 2002 NFL Draft, where he began his professional career. Soon, he became a full-time special teams player. Coy was namd Buffalo Special Teams Player of the Year twice and was voted team captain in 2005.
Additionally, Coy Wire was selected as the Bills’ Walter Payton Man of the Year. Unfortunately, Coy suffered a neck injury in 2008. The injury required surgery to insert a titanium plate and four screws into his neck. On July 25 , 2008, Coy signed with the Atlanta Falcons. There he was named team captain. Later in 2010, his teammates also selected him as the franchise winner of the Ed Block Courage Award.
Coy Wire joined CNN Sports in 2015 as a full-time anchor and correspondent. Coy Wire hosts the daily Bleacher Report segments and covers events. She serves as an expert contributor across all platforms. Coy Wire appears on CNN’s New Day, Early Start and CNN Newsroom shows, as well as HLN’s Weekend Express with Lynn Smith and Morning Express with Robin Meade.
