Corin redgrave
He was much less famous than his sisters, Lynn and Vanessa Redgrave. But he gained immense prestige on the stage. In addition, he played numerous supporting roles in well-known movies. Corin Redgrave has died at the age of 70 from prostate cancer.
Born in the British capital on July 16, 1939, Redgrave made his acting debut at the age of 22 on stage, in a production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by William Shakespeare . In cinema, his first prominent role was William Roper, boyfriend of the daughter of Saint Thomas More, who was also his biographer, in A Man for Eternity –Where his sister Vanessa was also present. He also had important roles in films such as The Last Burden , Excalibur , In the Name of the Father and Four Weddings and a Funeral , where he was the husband of Andie McDowell.
Off screen, Redgrave was also a prominent political activist. Of Marxist ideology, he co-founded Peace and Progress, his own political party, and was present at numerous demonstrations. He is survived by his wife, Kika Markham . His death comes a year after that of his niece Natasha Richardson
