1. Shortly after graduating from high school, he moved to San Francisco, where he studied acting and began acting in local theater productions.
2. His first major break as an actor was when he portrayed Mr. Franklin Jones, Joop and Mr. Venus in the critically acclaimed musical. Strange happen . He was later cast in the film version of the play as well.
3. In 2010 he premiered his Off-Broadway show, A Boy and His Soul , at the Vineyard Theatre. It was an autobiographical one man play written and written by him.
