Clint Eastwood attended Piedmont Middle School . He was not a very bright student and due to his poor grades, he was held back and had to attend summer school.

He later joined Piedmont High School but was asked to leave because of his poor academic performance, writing an insulting proposal to a school official, and burying a figurine on the school lawn. He had also planned to do a theory degree in music after high school, but things didn’t go the same way.

Clint then attended Oakland Technical High School and is believed to have graduated in January 1949.

In 1951, Clint tried to join Seattle University but when the Korean War started he was inclined to join the Army. Throughout his time in the Army, he served as a lifeguard at Fort Ord in Northern California.

In 2000 he received an honorary doctorate from Wesleyan University in Connecticut. Then, on September 22, 2007, he was awarded a Doctor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music during the Monterey Jazz Festival .
