Little by little, this young actress has been carving out good roles and is already a very recognizable face of Spanish cinema. Clara Lago goes to star.

Movie fans have been able to verify how Clara Lago has been growing, and I am not referring to growing as an actress, but how she has become a real woman. The first time we saw her, she was only 10 years old, when she appeared in several episodes of the Compañeros series . Fifteen years later, this beautiful actress from Madrid has swept the box office with her hilarious role as Amaia in the comedy Ocho apellidos vascos , for which a sequel has already been announced.

Clara Lago Grau was born in Madrid on March 6, 1990. After appearing in series such as the aforementioned Compañeros  or Manos a la obra , the little girl had to wait very little to get a leading role. When she was 12 years old, she starred in El viaje de Carol , an interesting film by Imanol Uribe where she shared the bill with another talented young man, Juan José Ballesta . Clara played a girl who arrives from New York to Spain in the middle of the Civil War. The very young actress surprised by her naturalness in front of the cameras, so much so that she was nominated for a Goya for Best New Actress.

Then, roles in films with a certain hook came to him, mostly starring already established actors. Little by little, Clara was making room for herself. She was Genia, a girl looking for fun in the dramatic La vida que te awaits (2004), and she stood out in Arena en los bolsillos (2006), a social film about the difficult life of four uprooted teenagers. In 2007, already seventeen years old, he took a small turn in his career with El club de los suicidas , where, together with Fernando Tejero , he demonstrated a good comedic side, which he later took advantage of in films such as Hangman’s Game. (2008), Cousins (2011) or Who killed Bambi?(2013), Spanish productions with typical style where frivolity, humor and small doses of sensuality are mixed. The fact is that Clara had grown up and had become a striking Spanish beauty, with black hair and a mischievous smile, and the directors have noticed it.

Clara has combined film and television very well, where she has continued to participate in popular series, such as Hospital Central , Lex , Los hombres de Paco or the most recent El corazón del Océano , about the first Spanish expeditions to the New World. In between, he has shot some estimable genre films, such as El mal ajeno (2010), La cara oculta (2011) or Fin (2012), although the one that has had the most pull with the public was I feel like you (2012), a romantic adaptation of a famous novel by Federico Moccia , where he gave life to Gin, a girl with a lot of self-confidence.

And after the impressive commercial success of Ocho apellidos vascos , Clara Lago has not taken long to make the international leap. He has shot Against the Jab , an American comedy by Patrick Jerome, and is currently filming Welcome to Harmony , the third feature film by Spanish director Miguel Ángel Vivas (after the gruesome Reflections and Kidnapped ), but with a large international cast, among which Matthew stands out. Fox (Jack in Lost ) or Jeffrey Donovan ( J. Edgar ).
