Charles David ‘Chuck’ Todd was born in Miami, Florida on April 8 , 1972. Todd is the son of Lois Cheri and Stephen Randolph Todd. He is an American by nationality and belongs to the white ethnicity. He is Jewish on his mother’s side.

Todd studied at Miami Killian Senior High School. He attended George Washington University in 1990. He studied at the University until 1994. Todd played the French horn and had also been awarded a music scholarship. He majored in Political Science and majored in music, however he did not graduate.

Todd’s political reporting and analysis career began only after he gained practical political experience participating in initiative campaigns in Florida and Washington DC.

Todd worked for National Magazine It’s The Hotline from 1992 until March 12, 2007. He was editor-in-chief there for six years. In March 2007, Todd moved from The Hotline to NBC (National Broadcasting Company) and became Political Director for NBC News.
