Christopher Cazenove
Christopher Cazenove played Ben Carrington in the television series “Dynasty.” The actor died on April 7, 2010, in London, a few days after John Forsythe, who was his brother Blake Carrington in the series. Cazenove was 66 years old.
Born on December 17, 1943, in Winchester, Hampshire (Great Britain), Christopher Cazenove made his film debut in 1970 with a small role in Julius Caesar , an adaptation of Shakespeare’s play with Charlton Heston . He devoted his life mainly to British television, with series like The Regiment and The Duchess of Duke Street .
In movies, he played a British lieutenant in Zulu Dawn , and David, the paralytic who lives with his wife on the island where the Nazi spy played by Donald Sutherland ends up . He was also recruited by James Ivory for East and West .
In 1986 he would get the role that would make him a world celebrity, Ben Carrington, in Dynasty . The series became very popular. At the end of the series he was not lucky, but he played various secondary characters, such as the unscrupulous guy who is going to marry the mother of the girl from Three Men and a Little Lady . He was also the father of Heath Ledger , in A Knight’s Tale .
Married to actress Angharad Rees , Cazenove had two children. The eldest died in a car accident at the age of 25.
