Immediately afterwards, Christian Slater moved to Los Angeles to improve his career as an actor. After his role in School for Young Killers (1988), where he shared the screen with Winona Ryder, he earned the nickname “Hollywood bad boy.” The reason? Many problems with the law and several arrests.

During the following years Slater continued to act in films without much success ( Dirty Money , Mindhunters , Alone the Dark ), until 2006, where he participated in the filming of the notable Bobby , with the role of Daryl; It is an ensemble drama set at the time when Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated. He shares credits with Anthony Hopkins, Lindsay Lohan, Demi Moore, and Sharon Stone, among many others.

Years later, thanks to the successful television series Mr. Robot  (2015), Slater won his first Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor. His character is Mr. Robot, a leader of a group of hackers who wants to destroy the businessmen and multinationals that are running the world. But Slater is not just an actor, he has produced and co-produced the films Hard Rain (1998), Basil (1998), Very Bad Things (2002) and The Deal (2005), and also the first episode of the television series Breaking In ( 2011), in which he has also been a director.

Regarding his personal life, Christian Slater has had relationships with stars such as Winona Ryder , Christina Applegate and Samantha Mathis , among others. In the year 2000 he married the television producer Ryan Haddon. They had two children, but their union broke up five years later. In 2014 he married Brittany Lopez.
