Kläfford is one of many contestants on season 14 of America’s Got Talent. Chris performed a cover of John Lenon Imaginer in AGT audition as guitarist and musician. Chris’ performance was so moving it brought the audience to tears and earned him all Yes from all four judges. After passing the audition stage, Klafford performed his original song titled Something Like Me which was received by a standing ovation from all the judges. His emotional performance was good enough to take him through the second stage of the competition to the quarter-finals.

At the quarter-finals stage, Chris performed another original song called Cold at the Altar on episode 1413 of the AGT show. After voting, Chris received more online votes than Charlotte Summers and Ndlovu Youth Choir to advance to the semi-finals. During the AGT semi-final, Chris performed another originally composed song titled If It’s Not With You, For You.Although he received a standing ovation from judge Julianne Hough, he did not receive enough votes to send him to the final.
