Chike Ezekpeazu Osebuka was born on January 28, 1993, to a family of six. He is one out of four children, all of whom are said to be musically inclined. He is a native of Anambra State in Nigeria but grew up in Nigeria’s richest State at the moment- Lagos.
He had his primary and secondary education in Lagos and had his tertiary education at Covenant University where he earned a degree in Computer Engineering.
Career
Chike began music way before entering the popular music competitions he’s known for. Although he did not gain prominence until 2016, Chike’s journey as a musician started way back as a youngster.
With the privilege of being born to a musically inclined family, his music journey was hastened and his appearance on MTN Project Fame West Africa met him prepared. His journey in the competition was however short-lived as the Roju crooner got eliminated after making it through to the top 10.
One year after his elimination on Project Fame, Chike auditioned for The Voice Nigeria and made it to Team Patoranking after performing a cover of James Arthur’s “Roses”. Chike’s stay on The Voice Nigeria was a mixture of fun and uncertainty for the singer as his win or loss depended both on public votes and the coaches’ save.
After the battle round (which he won), live shows, and semi-finals, Chike made it to the finals and earned his spot as runner-up with a rendition of “No Woman No Cry” by Bob Marley and the Wailers, and Kiss Daniel’s “Mama”.
His musical journey officially began in Nigeria after the competition when he got signed to Universal Republic along with the other top four contestants. He released his debut single “Fancy U” in December 2016 under the label. Chike’s stay with the label was however cut short as he departed in 2017 to become an independent artist, a year before releasing his second single “Beautiful People“.
The artiste is not without ambassadorial deals also. He was signed as an Airtel ambassador along with 7 other The Voice finalists.

Acting Career
Chike is currently on the lips of many Nigerians with many lauding him as a great actor. This is a result of his feature in Falz’s short 2022 film “Knee Down”. The film is a 12-minute movie produced by the singer (Falz) for his new single with the same title.
In the movie, Chike played the role of Chima, Falz’s rival who got the ultimate penalty after crossing the line with their shared lover.
This is not the first time Chike would bless our screens with great acting skills. In 2017, he made his entrance into the Nigerian movie industry, playing the role of “Mayowa Badmus” in an Africa Magic Telenovela “Battleground”.
In the film, Chike starrs alongside some of Nollywood‘s finest like Ini-Dima Okojie, and Joke Silva.
