Chelsea plot move for Bayern Munich star Coman as Pulisic threatens to quit

Chelsea is reportedly eyeing a bid to sign Bayern Munich star Kingsley Coman. This, however, a result of serious doubts emerging over Christian Pulisic and his future under new manager Thomas Tuchel.

Moreso, the new manager is yet to hand Pulisic a single start in the Premier League since the American’s cameo appearance in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Everton on Monday night.

However, reports this week claim Pulisic has told his representatives that he would be open to leaving if his opportunities fail to improve over the coming weeks. Meanwhile, Chelsea has begun drawing up a shortlist of possible replacements.

It’s understood rivals Manchester United and Liverpool are among the clubs keeping close tabs on the United States international and developments in west London ahead of the summer transfer window. According to The Daily Mail, Chelsea is preparing to step up their interest in Coman once again should Pulisic look to force his way out of Stamford Bridge.

Furthermore, Coman was firmly on Chelsea’s radar two years ago when Hudson-Odoi appeared on the verge of a move to the Allianz Arena and the Blues have maintained a strong interest ever since.

Bayern has been keen to tie Coman down with a new contract this season but the 24-year-old has so far been reluctant to commit his future to the German champions and could be made available this summer.
