Nigerian Chelsea fans have taken to a thanksgiving service in a church to celebrate their UEFA champions league victory over Manchester City on Sunday.

In a short clip posted by @Intablog9ja on Twitter, the fans danced up the aisle as they held up a banner bearing the European football club’s logo.

As they celebrated, other members joined in filming them. In Yoruba, the choir sang, calling the fans Jesus’ children, asking people to pave way for them.

Many people think the procession was outrageous, wondering why people would take their football obsession to the church.

However, in similar news prior to the final match,  Mancity fans in Nigeria have organized 40 days fasting program to pray for the Man city champions league victory.

The fasting program was scheduled to take place from 19th of my to June 29th as see on the program banner posted on  Twitter by @tunnykvng

According to the banner posted the fans organized the prayer in order to plot the downfall of Chelsea, who has defeated them in their recent head to head

The Poster stated that the prayers are to take place on a WhatsApp private group

Chelsea who has been a nightmare to Mancity and every other European team since Thomas Tuchel became the coach defeated Mancity 1-0 in the UEFA Champions League.
