BIOGRAPHY OF CHARLIE ROSE
Charlie Rose is an American television journalist best known for hosting and executive producer of the Charlie Rose talk show on PBS and Bloomberg LP. He is a former talk show host from 1991 to 2017.
Rose also co-anchored CBS This Morning from 2012 to 2017. Charlie previously filled in as anchor for CBS Evening News. He hosted with Lara Logan, hosted the revived CBS classic, originally hosted from 1953 to 1961 by Edward R. Murrow.

Rose graduated in 1964 with a bachelor’s degree in history. He was also a former member of the Kappa Alpha Order Brotherhood at Duke. He received a JD from Duke University School of Law in 1968.

Rose was born in Henderson, North Carolina, the only child of Margaret and Charles Peete Rose Sr., tobacco growers who owned a country store. Rose lived above her parents’ store in Henderson and helped with the family business from the age of seven.
CHARLIE ROSE’S CAREER
Rose is well known for working as the host and executive producer of the talk show Charlie Rose on Bloomberg LP and PBS from 1991 to 2017. He also co-anchored the CBS Evening News. He worked alongside Lara Logan to host the CBS classic Person to Person. His interview with Charles Manson in 1987 won him a News & Documentary Emmy Award in the Nightwatch.
He was also a board member of Citadel Broadcasting Corporation for six years from 2003. He interviewed many personalities like Donald Trump, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Barack Obama, Sean Penn, Leonardo DiCaprio, Louis CK, Bradley Cooper and Quentin Tarantino. Charlie was a correspondent for 60 Minutes II from its inception in January 1999 until its cancellation in September 2005, and was named a correspondent for 60 Minutes in 2008.
Rose was also a member of the Citadel Broadcasting Corporation board of directors from 2003 to 2009. In 2010, he gave the commencement address at North Carolina State University. It was announced that Rose would return to CBS to help co-host CBS This Morning in 2011, replacing The Early Show, beginning January 9, 2012, with co-hosts Gayle King and Erica Hill.
He was charged with sexual harassment on November 20, 2017. Eight women working with him accused him of appearing naked in front of them and groping them. His contract with PBS, Bloomberg and CBS was terminated due to the accusation the next day. He then released a statement and apologized for all his wrongdoings. In May 2018, he was accused of sexual misconduct by 27 women. Well, the total number of women accusing him reached 35.
Rose was featured in the film Primary Colors of (1998), a 2000 episode of The Simpsons, and the film Elegy of (2008). Rose and her show were parodied in the Wes Anderson film The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) and in the first episode of BoJack Horsem
He also starred in the George Clooney-directed film The Ides of March (2011); episodes of The Good Wife and Breaking Bad, both in 2013; the 2016 film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice; and on a 2017 episode of House of Cards.
