Charlie Day is a celebrity in the United States for being one of the protagonists of the series It Hung Up in Philadelphia .

Born in New York on February 9, 1976, Charles Peckham Day is the son of a piano teacher and a music teacher. With such parents, it is not surprising that he learned to play the piano as a child, and that he became a fan of music of all kinds. Subsequently, he has composed several songs for the series that have made him popular. During his time in high school he was a great athlete, making it on the baseball team.

He began with small roles in telefilms and television productions such as Law and Order , until he was offered recurring characters in the series Luis and Turn of the Watch . He was an unknown when Rob McElhenney , creator of It’s Always Always Philadelphia , offered him to join the project as an actor, writer and executive producer. The idea was to shoot the pilot with a low budget and a homemade camera. Ultimately, the episode stunned executives at FX Network, who commissioned the first season. Day had to play Charlie Kelly, one of the owners of an Irish pub, who is known for being a real loser.

During the filming of the series Reno 911! , Charlie Day began dating his co-star, Mary Elizabeth Ellis , who played his sister, with whom he had an incestuous relationship. In fact, they had known each other since they both began their acting career. In It ‘s Always Philadelphian Ellis plays a waitress that Day’s character is obsessed with. Finally, in real life they got married.

After the end of the series, in 2010, Day tries to succeed in the cinema. He has been one of the three leads on How to Bash Your Boss , with Jason Bateman and Jason Sudeikis . They play three guys who conspire to take down their respective bosses, who make their lives miserable. He is pending the shooting of the horror film Pacific Rim , by Guillermo del Toro .
