Charles Napier was one of those actors whose face sounds familiar to ordinary moviegoers. He has played numerous supporting characters on film and on television. The actor died on October 5, 2011 at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital in Los Angeles, where he was admitted due to blood clots. he was 75 years old

Born in Scottsville, Kentucky, on April 12, 1936, he served in the army and spent several years as a teacher before moving to Hollywood to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. He debuted playing a policeman in the series Mannix , in 1968. With Cherry, Harry & Raquel! , he began a series of collaborations with Russ Meyer, who also recruited him for Beyond the Valley of the Dolls and Supervixens .

He appeared in various series such as Star Trek: the original series , where he was the hippie Adam, a role that he repeated years later in another of the series of the ‘trekkie’ universe: Deep Space 9 .

He played a cop in the hit Rogues at Full Rhythm . Napier’s best-known role was the intelligence officer who makes life difficult for the protagonist in Rambo . He used to act in Jonathan Demme movies , as he was one of Hannibal Lecter’s victims in The Silence of the Lambs and The Philadelphia Judge.
