Celebrity Trainer Jillian Michaels: How Fitness Changed Her Life and How You Can Change Your Life: Get Fit Now!
In turbulent times, your true calling dawns on you
As an only child, Jillian was lonely and insecure and disturbed. Her mother enrolled her in therapy when she was five. Not around her father, she often used junk foods like ice cream and pizza to bond with her father. Her parents’ messy divorce took a toll on her emotional health. By the time she turned 12, her weight had increased to 175 pounds with a small frame of 5′ 2′.
Jillian faced so much bullying that she even apparently had to change schools at one point! When she was 14, her mother enrolled her in martial arts. Struggling to keep up, she survived a clumsy and clumsy year. Her first moment of self-affirmation and self-respect came shortly after, when she had to break two wooden planks with a pal for her second-degree blue belt. Jillian was convinced she wasn’t strong enough to do it. Until she surprised herself!
If you’re motivated to build your own strength, start your fitness journey with the following 30-minute workout routines choreographed by Michaels. Perform the following workouts two days in a row, reserving every third day for cardio of your choice. Move to level two if level one feels easy.
When you are strong, you hold yourself differently!
However, problems and complications did not end for Jillian in her teenage years. Frequent fights and disagreements with her mother made Jillian’s mother kick her out of her house to teach her a lesson. By age 17, Michaels was becoming self-sufficient through evening bartending and was resilient enough to work and pay her way through college.
Immediately after graduation, Jillian took a job as an agent. She hated it and quit that job to train as a personal trainer soon after. The biggest advances came in 2002 when Jillian opened her own gym at the age of 28 in partnership with now-celebrity trainer Jackie Warner.
Since then, Jillian’s professional life hasn’t stopped progressing!
Do more to be more and achieve more, but eliminate the negativity first!
When asked about the factors that influenced her, Jillian claims the only advantage she has, especially to those who haven’t yet started living the life of their dreams, is their confidence in their own abilities that they are worth the success is what she deserved for herself.
She also rejects the idea of struggling through life alone. People thrive in the company of other people who feel loved and empowered. Not afraid to admit that she has many flaws, she seeks the company of all those who are strong where she is weak, be it her business partner, Giancarlo Chersich, or her life partner, Heidi Rhoades.
Have a go-to support system for tough times.
No one is invincible and life will often overwhelm you in a corner. A strong network of friends and family members always helps, but it’s even more appropriate to seek counseling or therapy to get a better perspective on difficult situations. Although Jillian has a track record of success, she still resorts to a few therapy sessions every other week.
It’s easier to conquer your mind when you start with your body.
As a life coach, Jillian reinforces that her health is the foundation upon which you build your entire life. No matter how busy we are, each of us always has choices to control the type of food we eat, the amount of physical activity, and the amount of rest we get. It’s just about a bit of self-knowledge and education.
A strong, toned body allows access to more powerful body language, which can help restore our confidence at times when we need it most. It’s no coincidence that life coaches often recommend posing a Wonder Woman or Batman in front of the mirror to calm the nerves of a nervous speaker or performer.
Here’s a compilation of Jillian Michaels’ top health tips, which she often insists on during her TV appearances. So go ahead, enlighten yourself and take control of your life!
