Celebrity Diets: How It Helps Them Lose Weight
Celebrities are under pressure like us to keep a slim weight; but unlike us, they are under the constant scrutiny of a moody audience. We can eat an extra bowl of ice cream with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. If we gain an extra 2, 3 or 10 pounds, we’ll probably still have work by Monday morning. But for the celebs whose bread and butter depends on their looks, gaining weight can lead to unemployment.
High Metabolism Diet
Lose weight by eating more? Yes! Jessica Biel eats at least five times a day to shed those extra pounds. She enjoys non-fat yogurt and organic cereals for breakfast; and fish or poultry with fresh vegetables for lunch and dinner. For in between, she has bars and fresh fruit. By boosting her metabolism, she has more energy to burn more calories.
The added benefit of grazing during the day, as opposed to grabbing the food, is that you don’t lose muscle tone. When you skip meals or reduce calorie intake, your body thinks it’s starving and builds muscle to feed itself. This can cause your body to unintentionally become too thin and resemble a halo of bone.
Moderation, portion control and slow eating
Paula Deen , the former queen of high-calorie, high-cholesterol cooking G , has revamped her strategies for delicious recipes after discovering she has diabetes last year. She no longer cooks with a stick of butter in one hand and a five-pound bag of sugar in the other. She still cooks richly, but with a few (simple) healthy changes.
By practicing moderation, she doesn’t have to deprive herself of her grandmother’s famous pound cake. Instead of eating a quarter of the cake, she eats a smaller piece.
Paula’s other favorite non-dieting method is so simple, it’s not actually a diet. She slowly chews each bite. She explains that it takes 20 minutes for your stomach to realize you’re not hungry.
Coconut Water Diet
Madonna , Demi Moore , Rumer Willis , and Matthew McConaughey , are just a few celebrities who use coconut water to lose weight. Like coffee, coconut water has the ability to speed up the body’s metabolism; However, unlike coffee, there are additional benefits like potassium, calcium and magnesium (electrolytes) that your body needs, especially when you are dieting.

Elizabeth Hurley lost over ten pounds in just over a week by staying on the watercress soup diet. There is no fat and depending on how you prepare the soup it can be very low in calories. She switches it up by changing the broth to avoid getting bored with the same thing every day.
Some versions of this soup diet use chicken stock instead of water; While this is a tastier version, it will add calories.
Remember, even though these diets are quick weight loss options, celebrities usually have trainers and nutritionists on them. Consult your doctor before changing your eating habits.
