Both were clean and well behaved and in the good books of the media for most of their lives. Although Ashley has remained in the media’s good books and has not received negative publicity, Mary-Kate has been quite the opposite.
People who knew her would know that her decision to get help wasn’t based on a single incident and that her case got nothing but only got worse over time. She had lost a lot of weight and was having trouble eating. People and fans believed she was anorexic. At the time, Mary-Kate was still 18 years old and being cared for by her parents.
