Celebrities who couldn’t stand each other on set
Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson
Fifty Shades of Gray was one of the most anticipated films in a long time. With the publication of the book in 2011, filming had already begun and the film was released in February 2015. With a rating of only 4.2 (out of 10) for this highly anticipated film, the direction came as a shock to many around the world. After reading the books, the film felt quite overrated and obviously didn’t live up to critics’ expectations. As we delved deeper into why the film was a huge flop, we found some news that not too many knew about.
Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, the directors of the movie, couldn’t cope! We sometimes wonder how two people who don’t get along take on such intimate and personal roles. The media later reported that the film’s stars couldn’t stand each other. Apparently there were multiple and massive reshoots for many intimidating scenes. Their attitude towards each other didn’t produce the desired results even in sexy and sultry scenes. A rumor from Jamie Dornan, who reportedly didn’t seem too keen on the film’s sequel, is reason enough to know why the first one didn’t do so well. Well, we understand the two had issues, but we’d suggest it’s best to find new actors with great chemistry who can help live up to the books!
Ryan Gosling und Rachel McAdams
Remember The notebook ? It was a dream film for many romantic souls. With great reviews and great feedback, the film’s storyline hooked millions of viewers. The film’s stars Ryan and Rachel looked impeccably gorgeous and seemed like the perfect match. With intense romantic scenes in their kitty, the two seemed to do full justice, helping to leave The Notebook as one of those evergreen movies.
However, let it be said that the two didn’t get along too well together. According to director Nick Cassavetes, the two hated each other. He talks about how there was a certain day when they both really didn’t want to hit the set. Ryan went to Nick and asked if a replacement for Rachel’s role could be arranged as he couldn’t coordinate with her and couldn’t get anything out of the awkward situation between them! The director went into a room with the producer and the two stars to talk about it. Nick said the two yell at each other while trying to solve problems. Nick went out for a smoke, and shortly thereafter the two came out and called for more shooting. Nick mentioned that it was a smoother sail from that point on, although not entirely smooth. Ryan realized he had to respect McAdam’s role and she was glad she released it. So for everyone who was watchingThe notebook and thought how they could ever find a partner to share similar chemistry with, now you know it was all for the camera!
Wesley Snipes und Ryan Reynolds
Blade: Trinity was probably one of those classic nerd movies that drew fiction fans from every nook and corner of the world. With decent reviews and a 5.9 rating on IMDb , we’re pretty sure the film could have done a lot better. As the third installment in the hit series, BladeKritiker erwarteten definitiv viel mehr davon.
According to another co-star, Patton Oswalt, who only had one scene with Wesley, said he’d sit in his trailer and smoke weed all day. He mentioned that Snipes would stay in his character all day and only introduce himself as, Blade! He spoke about another incident where Wesley went to the director and told him to stop because the quality of the film was dropping because of him. To which director David responded and said Wesley should stop as they already had all his headshots and the rest could be done with his stand-in. Apparently, this incident shook Wesley a little, after which he would only communicate with the director through handwritten notes. Well Wesley, we have to say that you are a headstrong actor to work with.
Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey
When two female celebrities who are both doing very well in their music careers get together, what happens? Well, most of us would like to think that we get along and do what we do best, partying together. With Nicki and Mariah, however, that didn’t seem to be the case. During the 2013 series of American Idol the two were co-judges. The uneasiness between the two made itself felt in the press and made itself felt at the show and outside.
During an interview with radio station HOT 97 Mariah spoke about her experience on American Idol . She said she hated it and felt like I was going to work with Satan every day. She didn’t specifically take Nicki’s name, but given her unfriendly nature, it was pretty obvious. There was a time when a contestant named Kree Harrison appeared on the show. After her performance, Mariah said she did a good job, but not everyone was out there. To this, Nicki said it was the best performance of the night. Mariah knew that Nicki objected to her comment because of the cold vibes that existed between them and immediately replied that she didn’t agree with Nicki’s objection! Ouch.
They had both exchanged few words about how she was. Nicki responded immediately, saying, “Have a good time, sir.” Her addressing of Mariah as “sir” has garnered a bit of a buzz and has garnered all the media attention. However, Mariah had a few good things to say about the show and it was mostly about the contestants. She said most of them are great and have beautiful voices. Well, we remember the beef these two shared on screen back then. We hope they managed to remedy the situation. After all, a singer’s greatest help would obviously be another singer.
Bill Murray und Lucy Liu
It’s well known that Bill Murray has tons of fans in The World and there was a time when he was considered one of the smartest actors on the block. Who would have imagined Bill Murray being the guy to humiliate someone about their acting/work? For a long time we wondered why Bill wasn’t in the second film of Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. Well, it all became clear when news of Lucy’s and Bill’s incompatibility came out. Word is Murray wasted a lot of time telling Liu she couldn’t act. According to a source, Bill had stopped a certain scene and advised Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore that he understood why they were both on set, acting and talented. He then moved his finger to Lucy Liu and said, “But what the hell are you doing here?” This was probably the point where Lucy got annoyed and walked right up to Bill and tried to throw punches at him wildly. The actors had to be moved to the corners of the room while continuing to verbally abuse each other. Now we don’t know how true that is, but the fact that Bill didn’t appear in the second film was enough evidence for us that to know. Well, we get that you’re a great actor, Bill, but taking someone else off is the worst idea anywhere.
Bill Murray and Harold Ramis
Oh hey look! It’s Bill again. Well, Bill sure seems to be one of those actors who never got along with most of his peers, right? On the set of Groundhog Tag , according to Murray, he clashed with Harold Ramis over how the film should be philosophical rather than just pure comedy. On the other hand, Ramis said the reason Bill was so difficult was because of his personal and emotional baggage, which he would seem to bring to work. Let it be said, the two were very close and close friends. However, we’re glad the two eventually reconciled before Ramis’ passing in 2014.
Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross
Most of us have watched at least a few episodes of Desperate Housewives and enjoyed it too. There’s no denying that the show’s cast was excellent and the dramatic storyline even better. With unrealistic ups and downs and impossible family problems, Desperate Housewivespresented everything and was considered a very melodramatic TV show. The actresses showed great compatibility and friendship. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case off-screen. Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross, who appeared on-screen as best friends, were anything but off-screen. While they never actually argued, they never acknowledged each other’s presence either. Eva Longoria said that Hatcher acted and acted like a “loner” on set. During a Vanity FairPhoto shoot for the show, it is said that Crosswar was very upset that Hatcher was front and center in the shoot. To make her dislike of Hatcher even more apparent, Cross dropped her name from the “goodbye gifts” she received for the crew towards the end of the show. The irony here is that both acted very much like their characters on screen.
Charlie Sheen and Selma Blair
As most of you may know, Charlie Sheen at work has never been so easy to manage. Many of his associates from Two and a Half Men” and Anger Management had very little good to say about him. His drug and anger issues sure got him fired from the sentences of Two and a Half Men left too much controversy on the subject, back then. Charlie was then in his second Show.” Anger Management “. The show started off fairly well and received good reviews early in its life cycle. Selma Blair, his co-star, had allegedly commented negatively on Charlie’s work ethic, which compounded Sheen’s anger at her. Sheen had fired Blair on Anger Managementand to top it off, it was Sheen herself who sent her a text calling her a cu** and telling her she was fired. Ouch!
Tommy Lee Jones und Jim Carrey
After doing one of the original Batman films and later tagging Batman as “not the worst”.Film in history ”, the news of their incompatibilityThe nature came out later. Tommy Lee Jones had such an intense beef with Jim Carrey and hated him so much he wouldn’t even sit next to him at lunch. Considering that Jim Carrey is a brilliant actor and very good at playing unconventional roles, he tried his best to steal the spotlight from Texan native Tommy whenever he got the chance. This attitude sparked more anger and created a tornado of hackneyed behavior that spread to the sets of the film. Well the movie didn’t live up to expectations and at least we know why!
