Celebrities sued for the most absurd of reasons
Mila Kunis vs. Kristina Karo
Now we have to admit, this is by far the most absurd lawsuit we’ve ever heard. I’m not sure if you know this, but here’s how Mila Kunis was charged with stealing a chicken. Childhood best friend Kristin Karo accused Mila of stealing her pet when they were much younger. We can’t believe it’s real!
Karo said that the two, Mila and she were inseparable and best friends during school years. Karo’s family was in the poultry business and had plenty of chickens to play with. A particular chicken named “Doggie” was her favorite. Since Doggie was with Kristina, Mila went there after school to play. One day the chicken disappeared and Mila accepted that she took it a few days later. Mila told Karo that since she (Karo) owns an entire farm, she can have any chicken (except dog) as a pet. Kristina said she fell into a depression afterwards that sent her into therapy! Mila then went to LA to pursue her acting career. Karo eventually moved to LA to pursue her dream as a singer. Her proximity to Kunis sent her into depression again and reminded her of Doggie! She sued Kunis for a hefty sum of $5,000, saying the shrink’s bills and other expenses had become too much for her. Seriously, are we the only ones who think this doesn’t make any sense at all?
Allen Heck vs. Michael Jordan
Another incredible lawsuit to ever have to be filed is this one. Allen Heck, who is also African American like Michael, sued the basketball player for looking like him! He is also bald and wears large earrings like Jordan. He claimed that numerous and random people approached him and asked if he himself was Michael Jordan. Allegedly tired of being asked to do so multiple times, Allen filed a lawsuit claiming defamation, lasting mental injury and emotional pain. He claims to suffer from this problem because he was tired of being asked the same questions over and over again. The madness doesn’t just end here; He even implicated Nike in this lawsuit, stating it was the brand’s fault To have made Jordan famous worldwide. Well, while they may have had some facial resemblance, Allen was at least 6 inches shorter than Michael, a trait strong enough to prove this claim false. So if we understand someone to look like us and are often referred to as their double, we can sue them. Impressive. Anyway, the total amount Allen was asking for was $832 million, meaning he was expecting $416 million per party? It is said that he later dropped the lawsuit without really stating why he did so. Well, Allen, we don’t know what you were trying to do there, but let’s be a little realistic, shall we? Rob Delaney against Kim Kardashian’s divorce
Kim Kardashian had married Kris Humphries at the height of her famous reality TV show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Rob Delaney is an American comedian. After it was revealed that they were divorcing (within 72 days of the marriage), Rob Delaney decided to sue her should they divorce. While Rob’s argument isn’t that absurd, we don’t really see the point in fighting it. According to him, the episodes of the show or the marriage didn’t really bother him. He was more involved with promoting scam marriage, billboards around the world, and bike advertisers. He also targeted TMZ to promote a huge sum of money for a wedding. TMZ was clearly thinking of marrying Kim to increase TRP and boost the show’s overall earnings. He accused them of entering into a marriage of convenience and treating the general public like fools. According to Rob, the entire scam also involved signing an upfront and non-disclosure agreement. He believes Kris Humphries must have been threatened that there would be consequences if he told anyone about the facility.
Ryan Seacrest, the show’s executive producer, had to step in when the charges against TMZ were against him. Rob said he was certain Kim was paid $18 million for attending this fake wedding. According to Rob, that money could have been used for many useful purposes, such as building schools for the poor, fundraising, and many other ways such an amount would REALLY have made a difference. We agree on that, Rob.
Valerie gegen Sean “Diddy” Combs
We’ve heard of overblown lawsuits, but have you ever heard of a celebrity being charged with terrorism? Well hug yourself because this particular lawsuit will make you question humanity! When you think of a person like Sean Diddy being sued, you might think it could be for stealing lyrics, beats, or something related to his music business. However, this lawsuit against him was far more intense.
Valerie Turks claims to have had a child with Diddy, who appears to have been part of the child’s upbringing but never paid child support. She also accused him of secretly keeping a casino chip she won in Mississippi worth hundreds of zillion dollars. That’s a heavy chip! It doesn’t stop here, wait for it. She also claims that Sean was responsible for 9/11, the collapse of the World Trade Center! She added that Sean and Rodney King smashed the building through their plane, knocking it over when he knew they and their children were underneath. They ended up in the hospital where he raped her and her children! As unreal as that may sound, there are times when people out there sue celebrities for the most random reason to make a dime. But in this case, Valerie’s demands will blow your mind. She asked for a whopping $900 billion in child support and $100 billion in lost income, totaling $1 trillion. Take a deep breath. Yes, you read that right. That might sound like a lot of money, but considering the chip was worth billions, Sean wouldn’t have lost all that much anyway.
Fort Worth versus the dead Elvis Presley
When a singer dies and leaves, many of their fans mourn the fact that they may have left too soon. Elvis who was known as The Kingwas such a well-known singer at the time, whose death was widely noted. With brilliant music to his name and growing fans around the world, it seemed like nothing could stop him. His death hit the music industry in the worst possible way and the world lost its pioneer of good, quality music. After his death, there was a lot of talk about whether it was a scam or a fake, and whether it was a cover to protect himself from the mafia or the government. Some even said he was an alien and returned home! Many said they had evidence of these controversies.
In this case, nothing can really be more of a proof than speaking to the man himself. That’s what a man from Fort Worth, Texas, said. He claimed that not only had Elvis called him, but he had done so many times that it caused emotional distress to that individual! He also claimed it increased his phone bill. He added that it had caused him too much stress and pain and that he had no choice but to sue Elvis’ estate for his suffering and damage. So far mate, you’ve made one of the most absurd lawsuits on our list. Nothing is known about the outcome of this paranormal situation.
The Gardener vs. Elizabeth Taylor
When you work for a rich person or another famous celebrity, it goes without saying that you will be asked to do a casual job that requires your help and is not part of your day-to-day work. Willem Van Muyden was the gardener at Taylor’s house, whose job was strictly gardening. The employees were always the ones who knew what was going on around them through gossip or hands-on experience. It wasn’t a hidden fact that Taylor used her butler to satisfy her sexual needs. They were known to remain in their room for hours before he left to continue his work. However, it wasn’t a hidden message either that the butler had no interest in women as he was gay.
On a strange day, the butler said he was having a hard time getting to work and needed a little “jump start” to get his day going. The butler asked the gardener to supply his needs. Willem refused to do the same, resulting in the butler firing him from his job. Van Muyden filed a lawsuit against the butler and Taylor alleging wrongful dismissal. He sued her for a total of $400,000, but a statement was later released that no money was given. We’re assuming they must have tried to work it out internally as this matter may have exposed many of Taylor’s other mysteries.
Jonathan Lee Riches
Remember at the beginning of this article, when we told you that one of people’s favorite pastimes is suing others. It’s the fastest and easiest way to make money, right? Well, this case is similar. Have you ever heard of Jonathan Lee Riches? Probably not. He served ten years in prison on the pretext of wire fraud. However, being in prison didn’t mean he wasn’t constantly harassed by the outside world. In any case, you have to be careful because Jonathan doesn’t intervene lightly and will sue you the moment he feels the time has come!
It is by his nature that The Guinness Book of World Records named him the most sued man in the world. Jonathan even sued Guinness, asking them to remove that title from their records. However, Guinness isn’t the only one who was a target for Jonathan.
He has filed cases against Steve Jobs, who claims Steve hired OJ Simpson as a hitman to clear a building containing pyrotechnics stolen by Great White and point nuclear missiles at Lance Armstrong’s iPhone users. He also sued Martha Stewart for mental and emotional distress after getting poison ivy and groundhogs on her property. Well, Jonathan, we have no idea who you’re going to sue next, but good luck with your endeavours. They clearly did this for a living.
