American television personality, author, and public speaker, Catelynn Lowell is known for appearing on MTV’s reality television series, 16 and Pregnant in 2009. She is also the author of Conquering Chaos , published in 2015. Lowell is in a marital relationship with Tyler Baltierra and blessed with two children Carolyn ‘Carly’ Elizabeth Davis (May 18, 2009) and Novalee ‘Nova’ Reign , (January 1, 2015).
Early life and education of Catelynn Lowell
Catelynn Lowell was born on March 12, 1992 in Port Huron, Michigan to April Brockmiller and David Lowell under the birth sign of Pisces. Her parents divorced when she was three years old.
After the separation, Lowell began living with her mother and three siblings. Andrew Lowell , Nicholas Lowell , and Sarah Lowell .
Lowell had a difficult childhood due to poverty. He used to move to various states, including Texas, Florida, Ohio, and Michigan with his family. He finished his high school in 2011 from a community college.
While Lowell was in high school, she became pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Tyler Baltierra. After her pregnancy, she appeared on a reality show. 16 and pregnant .
As of 2018, Lowell’s attended Baker College, majoring in Social Work.
Catelynn Lowell’s Career
In 2009, Catelynn Lowell was cast in the American reality series, 16 and Pregnant , along with Maci Bookout , Amber Portwood , and Farrah Abraham . The series followed the stories of pregnant teenagers in high school who were dealing with the difficulties of teenage pregnancy.
On May 18, 2009, the couple welcomed their first child, Carolyn ‘Carly’ Elizabeth Davis . But due to their financial situation and lack of support, they decided to give their son up for adoption.
They signed up for open adoption with Carly’s adoptive parents, Brandon Davis and Teresa Davis, which means they get to meet with their daughter once a year and receive regular photos.
In 2012, because he knew of the abusive nature of his parents, he asked for custody of his younger brother. A year later, she also received legal guardianship of her younger sister.
Following this, the couple was blessed with a second child, a daughter, Novalee ‘Nova’ Reign , on January 1, 2015.
After their nine years of relationship, they got married on August 22. Their wedding was a small ceremony attended by their Teen Mom OG co-stars. Amber Portwood, Maci McKinney , Kailyn Lowry .
In November 2017, Lowell revealed that she was seeking treatment after experiencing suicidal thoughts. She again struggled with mental health in January 2018 due to her childhood trauma.
On an episode of Teen Mom OG, the couple revealed about Lowell’s miscarriage. She said,
`ʻI feel like maybe it just wasn’t the right time. Thank God for children and husbands. If they weren’t around, I probably would have been pissed off, seriously. I mean, I’m sure a lot of people can relate. It’s like I don’t want to live another day like this, you know?
