Carolyn Farb, born in Houston, is an American philanthropist, fundraiser and art collector. She has raised over $50 million for numerous charitable causes.Farb is a resident of River Oaks, a neighborhood in Houston, Texas.

Jake Kenyon Shulman died suddenly on September 25, 2004. Jake was born in Houston, Texas on January 9, 1970. Kenyon is the beloved son of Carolyn Farb, with whom he shares an undying bond of love. He is survived by his father Richard A. Shulman, his brother Jay Scott Shulman of San Antonio, and his black lab, Prince, who stood faithfully by his side.
He is also owed by his maternal grandmother Ruth Freedman, his aunt Beverly Berry, and her husband Dr John Berry, his uncle Robert Freedman and his wife Sherry and his cousins Laura and Rachael Freedman and Justin and Philip Berry. Jake’s many friends will miss his good heart, his sense of humor and his sweetness.
Among them are Marie Myers-Bruns, Deanna Brzovskis, Bruce and Debra Brenner and granddaughter Lyndsay, Mark and Regina Duke, Janine Iannarelli, Mark, Kay Janik, Will Ulbricht, Rachel, Anthony Piazza and Sharon Rubenstein from Israel.
Jake attended the University of Houston. He excelled in computer science and programming and held various senior positions in investment banking. Farb was an avid reader and knew many subjects.
He had a passion for life and loved to cook. He was kind to everyone he met and always mindful of the needs of others. The bearers are Justin Berry, Philip Berry, Mark Duke, Mark Janik, Anthony Piazza, Will Ulbricht, Bruce Brenner and Angelbert Metoyer.
Friends are invited for a family visitation on Monday, September 27, 2004, from six to eight in the evening in the Jasek de Geo chapel. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 28, 2004, at half past three in the evening in the Jasek Chapel of Geo.H. Lewis & Sons with Rabbi Jack Segal officiating.
Private interment would continue at Beth Israel Cemetery Mausoleum, 1101 Antoine. Donations in Jake’s memory can be made to the charity of your choice. “Death ends a life, not a relationship” by Jack Lemmon.
