BIOGRAPHY OF CARLOS PONCE

Carlos Ponce is a Puerto Rican actor, singer, songwriter and television personality. He began his acting career participating in Spanish-language soap operas for Televisa and Telemundo. Ponce continued to develop his acting vocation by taking an interest in different American television arrangements.

He did not limit himself exclusively to a profession on television. In film, he played Salvadore in Couples Retreat, Matthew Wright in Spy and Rodrigo in Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo. On television, he has played Felix Gonzalez in Cristela, Max Duran in Hollywood Heights, as well as voicing Santiago Santos in Maya and Miguel.

Ponce celebrates his birthday on the 4th of every September. Born in 1972, he is 46 years old in 2018.

CARLOS PONCE FAMILY

Ponce was designed by Carlos Ponce Freyre in Santurce, Puerto Rico. His parents, Carlos Ponce, Sr. Also, Esther Freyre, emigrated from Cuba after the Cuban Revolution led by Fidel Castro. After his introduction to the world, the family moved to Humacao, where Ponce grew up. As a tyke, he actually participated in his school plays, and at home he frequently put on a show for the family where he sang the newest tunes.

“Carlitos,” as he is known in Puerto Rico, started appearing in television commercials when he was six years old. He went to high school in Humacao and was a member of the school’s show club.

In 1986, the Ponce family moved to Miami, Florida, and Ponce continued to participate in his school’s creations at South Miami Senior High. He was named the best understudy artist in the Southern District of the United States.

In 1990 Ponce attended the Southeastern Theater Conference and sought the opportunity to win a grant. He won and took a studio break at the New World School of the Arts. Anyway, the Spanish-language television channel Univision offered Ponce the chance to present a show called Hablando (Talking). It was his first real television debut and after his introduction he gave up his college thoughts.

Talking about his personal life, Ponce married his longtime high school girlfriend, photographer Verónica Rubio (who is the sister of current US Senator Marco Rubio). However, the duo was engaged in an on-and-off relationship, which led to their breakup in 2010. He decided to find another love and in the same year, from 2010 to 2016, he was in a relationship with Colombian actress Ximena Duke.

He had four children, all from his previous marriage to Verónica Rubio; Giancarlo (born in 1999), Sebastián (born in 2001) and the twins Savannah and Sienna (born in 2002).

Sevenh Heaven is an American television series arrangement directed and presented by Brenda Hampton that centers on the Camden family and their life in the anecdotal town of Glenoak, California. The arrangement appeared on August 26, 1996, on The WB, where it aired for ten seasons.

Following The WB’s closure and its merger with UPN to frame The CW, the arrangement circulated on the new system on September 25, 2006, for its eleventh and final season, airing its final scene on May 13, 2007. Seventh Heaven was the last arrangement to be delivered by Spelling Television (later created by CBS Paramount Network Television for the eleventh and final season) before it was shut down and turned into a unit of CBS Television Studios.

CARLOS PONCE COUPLES RETREAT

Couples Retreat is a 2009 American romantic comedy film coordinated by Peter Billingsley indicating his directorial debut and composed by Jon Favreau, Vince Vaughn, Dana Fox, Curtis Hanson and Greg Beeman. Vaughn and Favreau star with Jason Bateman, Faizon Love, Kristin Davis, Malin Åkerman, Kristen Bell and Jean Reno. It was released on October 9, 2009 in the United States. The film was largely shot on the Polynesian island of Bora.

CARLOS PONCE JUST MY LUCK

Simply My Luck is a 2006 American comedy film, coordinated by Donald Petrie and composed by I. Marlene King and Amy B. Harris. The film stars Lindsay Lohan and Chris Pine as core characters. Lohan plays Ashley, the luckiest young woman in Manhattan, New York. She loses her karma after kissing Jake, portrayed by Pine, in a disguised snap.

The film highlights the supporting jobs of Samaire Armstrong, Faizon Love, Missi Pyle and McFly, the English band Jake finds in the film and tries to help them by finding them a creator.

CARLOS PONCE CAREER

After the show ended, Ponce traveled to Mexico to visit a companion. During his stay, he visited the television channel Televisa. The station’s capacity manager met with Ponce and offered Ponce his first job in a cleanup drama: Guadalupe, starring Adela Noriega and Eduardo Yáñez.

He participated in another clean-up drama for Televisa, Sentimientos Ajenos, in which he played the title character. Ponce also sang the signature melody for the creation. He received the “Entertainer Revelation of 1997 Award” from Eres magazine and named “Best Actor” by TV y Novelas magazine (both are Mexican casts).

Midway through the premieres, Ponce returned to Miami and Univision enlisted him as the host of another show, Control. He hosted the show for a long time and won an “Expert Award”.

In 2003, Ponce joined Entertainment Tonight as a reporter. He also hosted An Entertainment Tonight Event – Celebrity Weddings Unveiled, an outstanding CBS primetime show. Ponce facilitated the Miss Universe 2006 event in Los Angeles, along with Shandi Finnessey, Nancy O’Dell and Carson Kressley. In 2007, he was featured in Telemundo NBC’s Universal telenovela Dame Chocolate (Give Me Chocolate) alongside Génesis Rodríguez and Karla Monroig.

Ponce also featured in Perro Amor in 2010 on a similar system. In 2012, Ponce began hosting the hit Puerto Rican singing challenge for children on Wapa TV called Idol Kids Puerto Rico. In 2013, Ponce appeared on Telemundo’s Santa Diablo as Humberto Cano. From 2014 to 2015, Ponce co-featured in the ABC parody Cristela as Felix, the show’s male lead.

In 1998, Emilio Estefan Jr. moreover, Kike Santander tagged Ponce to a record deal. His first collection was called Carlos Ponce and included three of his own arrangements. The collection topped the Latin billboards for nine weeks in the Hispanic group in the United States. It also came in at number one in Central America and South America. He received a Double Platinum Award for the business created by his collection.

On the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks, Carlos Ponce took the top spot multiple times with “Rezo” (I Pray), “Decir Adiós” (Say Goodbye), and “Escúchame” (Listen to Me).
