CARLA SUÁREZ: HER AGE, HER PARTNER, HER PREGNANCY AND HER LIFE AFTER LEAVING TENNIS
He was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in 1988 and the world of sports ran in his family, since his father was a professional handball player and his mother was a gymnast. Both her and her brother tried numerous sports, but both chose tennis.
This led them to move to Barcelona to train at a professional school. In 2006 she made her debut at Roland Garros, spending numerous seasons among the tennis elite, reaching fifth in the WTA ranking. Despite the fact that she is one of the most important female athletes in recent years, she does not have big-name titles or medals in the Olympic Games, although she always performed at a high level.
In 2020, his career stopped dead after he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of cancer that Dani Rovira also had to face. Since September 2020, he underwent a complicated treatment that luckily worked.
After recovering, he was able to say goodbye to professional sports by competing, so he was able to participate in his last Roland Garros and, thanks to the stoppage caused by the pandemic, attend the Tokyo Olympics.

After leaving professional sports, Carla Suárez started a new professional project by opening a restaurant on her land. La Carlota, which is her name, is located in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
