Personal trainer
To make sure she’s in the best shape for her competitions, she schedules five water sessions a week. Four of these sessions deal with exercises and techniques. And the final session focuses solely on improving their overall endurance through laps of the watercourse.
Because strength and conditioning are an essential part of the sport, she works out in the gym two to three times a week. Her gym workouts focus on building explosive and lasting strength without sacrificing flexibility.
To improve the elasticity of her muscles, she relies on yoga. In fact, she makes it a point to track every workout with yoga. Breaking this routine will cause their muscles to tighten quickly and DOMS (delayed muscle soreness) to set in. Also, she never neglects her lower body as it is essential for generating power behind the paddle strokes. And because of her lower body strength, she relies on doing a lot of squats.
When it comes to her diet, she doesn’t have a set eating plan. But she makes sure she eats a healthy diet, with an emphasis on vegetables and fruits. While Jessica is out, she relies on snacks to satisfy hunger. She always has some almonds and dried fruit with her.
