Actor Cameron Boyce has died at the age of 20 at his home in Los Angeles. “We have lost Cameron. He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure, the result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. The world is without doubt now without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through kindness and compassion ”, explains the family statement.
Born on May 28, 1999 in Los Angeles, Cameron Boyce was the son of a Jew and an African-American; his paternal grandmother, Jo Ann Boyce, was one of the twelve Clintons, the first black youths to attend a coeducational high school in the South of the United States, in 1956. The boy made his debut as a model at the age of seven, in the Disney catalog Store, and later acted in various commercials. At the age of eight he appeared in music clips, and at nine he began his journey as an actor, with a recurring role in the series General Hospital: Night Shift .
He made his film debut as the offspring of Kiefer Sutherland in Reflections , a horror film in which he had a strong presence. He then became the son of Michelle Monaghan in The Panic Conspiracy , and Adam Sandler in Grown Ups and Grown Ups 2 . But fame came to him with the Disney Channel series Jessie , where he played Luke, a mischievous teenager who falls in love with Jessie Prescott, the nanny of a movie producer who dreams of becoming a star. The same chain recruited him for the telefilm Los descendientes , which brought together the children of the most famous villains in the house; specificCameron Boyce gave life to Carlos, heir to Cruella de Vil. Fiction swept, to the point that it had two sequels. The actor has left the drama series about a rock star Paradise City pending release at the time of his death.
