Cam Newton is an American footballer who plays for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League. He rose to fame after winning the Heisman Trophy at Auburn University, which was then drafted into the NFL in 2011.

Newton enrolled in Westlake High School, then in his high school he joined Auburn University, then joined the University of Florida and Blinn College. While at the University of Florida, he joined the Florida Gators football team in 2007 and 2008.

He played in five games, passing for 40 yards on 5 of 10 and rushing 16 times for 103 yards and three touchdowns. Additionally, while at Blinn College, he led his team to the 2009 NJCAA Football National Championship. he also led Auburn to a 52–3 victory over Louisiana-Monroe, while at Auburn University on October 2, 2010.
