1. In his honor, his alma mater Sandy Creek High School decided to retire his No. 81 jersey in October 2010.
2. In 2016 he participated in the dance reality show, Dancing with the Stars and managed to finish in 3rd position.
3. During his high school years, he was not only a letterman in football, but also a standout baseball player.
4. When he was offered entry by Georgia Institute of Technology they wanted him to play baseball and football. However, his mother was against it and asked him to choose a sport.
5. When he played high school football, he was the highest rated player in the state of Georgia. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution selected him as an all-state first-team pick (class AAAA).
6. When he graduated from college, he became the first player in Georgia Tech history to rush for 2,927 yards in its estimated history.
