Burial date of SCOAN’s founder, Prophet TB Joshua set for July 9 in Lagos
Prophet TB Joshua, the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), will be laid to rest on Friday, July 9, at the church premises in Lagos.
Dr. Gary Tonge, the head of the burial committee, revealed the news at a press conference on Tuesday, June 29.
According to him, the dates of July 5 to 11 are set aside for a series of laying-to-rest festivities titled “Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Prophet Joshua, Born (1963 to 2021).”
He told reporters that the celebration would begin at 6:00 p.m. with a private candlelight parade.
Dr. Tonge stated a tribute service will be held from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on July 6 and 7. It would be available to the public but with a restricted physical presence. He said that a ceremony of hymns and all-night worship would begin at midnight and that the prophet would lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. on July 8.
The occasion, he said, would be open to the public so that they may pay their respects to the Man of God.
The laying to rest service and interment activities will commence at 10:00 a.m. on July 9, according to Tonge.
Finally, he stated that the thanksgiving service would begin at 9:00 a.m. on July 11th.
