Buhari Visits Imo To Commission State Project
The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday 9th of September, 2021 paid a courtesy visit to Imo State in order to commission projects done by the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma.

While commissioning a major tunnel in the state, The President commended the Governor, saying that he accepted to come to Imo because Governor Hope Uzodinma is a man of integrity, and he is very pleased with happenings in the state.
Many were present to welcome the President to the state, and some of them includes; the minister of foreign affairs; Geoffrey Onyeama, minister of science and technology; Ogbonnaya Onu, minister of state for environment; Sharon Ikeazor, minister of states for mines and steel development; Uche Ogah and minister of state for education; Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, as well as the APC candidate for the forthcoming Anambra governorship election, Senator Andy Uba
President Buhari, upon his arrival to the state commissioned the Naze/Ihiagwa/Nekede/Obinze road
However, as a result of the President’s visits, Banks were shut. markets and commercial activities were also put on hold in the state.
The president entered the state wearing the Ishi Agu, which is the Igbo Signature Attire, as well as he was seen holding a small staff in his hand as he arrived at the Sam Mbakwe Airport.

It is with a heart full of gratitude that I, on behalf of the good people of Imo State, welcome His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR to the Eastern Heartland on a working visit to commission some of our completed people-oriented projects. “Mr President, we are delighted to have you in Imo State on this august occasion despite your tight schedules and it’s our pleasure that while in Imo State, you will enjoy the hospitality and conviviality of our people.”
