Buhari names the Abuja expressway after Niger republic president
The Abuja expressway has been named after the President of the Niger Republic, Issoufou Mahamadou for his significant role in promoting peace in Africa.
President Muhammudu Buhari has named a road in the Federal Capital Territory after the president of the Niger republic.
The FCT minister, Mohammed Bello who made this known on Tuesday, in Abuja, said it was in honour of President Issoufou Mahamadou for his significant role in promoting peace in Africa.

He equally took to Twitter to disclose the development to the general public.
He tweeted;
“Earlier today, the first phase of the on-going Outer Southern Expressway (OSEX) in Abuja was named the “Mahamadou Issoufou Expressway” in honour of the President of the Republic of Niger, Mahamadou Issoufou”.

Last week, Mahamadou won the 2020 Mo Ibrahim prize for achievement in African leadership.
He is the sixth recipient of the award which recognises and celebrates excellence in African leadership.
