He lavished himself as a character actor, in movies and feature films, although above all he achieved enormous prestige as a stage actor. Bruce MacVittie passed away on May 7, 2022, in a New York hospital, at the age of 65.

Born October 14, 1956, in Providence, Rhode Island, Bruce MacVittie began acting in high school and graduated from Boston University before moving to New York City in 1979. A year later, he became a member from the Ensemble Studio Theater after appearing in the play  What’s So Beautiful About A Sunset Over Prairie Avenue?

In 1983, Bruce MacVittie he became an understudy for James Hayden in a cut of David Mamet ‘s  American Buffalo , starring Al Pacino  and JJ Johnston . And later he toured with that play in the US and UK.

Bruce MacVittie He has also appeared many times as a supporting role in television series, for example he gave life to Danny Scalercio, a member of the jury responsible for the acquittal of Uncle Junior, in The Sopranos during the fourth season in 2002. On the other hand, he has played 11 roles in the Law & Order franchise. He was also a guy who dated Miranda, on Sex and the City . 

His other television credits include LA Law , Homicide Life on the Street, Gravesend, CSI: NY, Chicago Med, and Bull . In the movies, Bruce MacVittie He has appeared in titles such as  Francis Ford Coppola ‘s Cotton Club , Born on the 4th of July and Oliver Stone ‘s The Doors Ridley Scott ‘s Hannibal and Clint Eastwood ‘s Million Dollar Baby .
