Bruce Campbell is an American actor, director, producer and writer, best known for his role as Ash Williams in the supernatural comedy film The Wicked Death , a sequel to the 1978 short film In the Woods directed by Sam Raimi. In the early years of his acting career, he appeared in many low-budget cults, including Crimewave , Maniac Cop , Sunset: The Vampire Retreat , and Bubba Ho-Tep . From 1993 to 2013 he was in some top rated TV series, such as The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. , Jack of All Trades , Hercules: The Legendary Voyages ,Xena: Warrior Princess , and Burning Hint . He later reprized his role as Ash Williams Ash vs. Evil Dead from 2015 to 2018. In the early 2000s, Campbell began directing films and some of his work has included documentaries Fanalysis and A Community Speaks and horror comedy feature films such as Mann mit the screaming brain and my name is bruce .
He is multi-talented because he is not only an actor, producer and director but also a writer whose career as a writer began after his first autobiography If Kinnes Could Kill: Confessions of a B-Movie Actor which was released August 24, 2002. Another Bruce Campbell book called Making Love! The Bruce Campbell Way was released on May 26, 2005, starring Bruce himself as the main character who struggles to break into the world of A-list movies. In the early and late 2000s, Campbell published two more books, entitled X-ray Magazine and Cheers to the Chin: More Confessions of a B-Movie Actor .
