Bruce Allpress
He took part in “The Two Towers”, the second part of the film version of “The Lord of the Rings”. Bruce Allpress passed away on April 23, 2020, at the age of 89, after being diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis six months earlier.
Born on August 25, 1930, in New Zealand, Bruce Alpress began his journey in the late 1970s. After making his debut in the forgotten The Cheeseman Singer , he was the blind piano tuner in Jane Campion ‘s The Piano , and participated in numerous television series, such as Hercules , where he gave life to various characters.
In The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers , he played Aldor the Old, third ruler of the kingdom of Rohan, under the orders of Peter Jackson , although his participation in the film is quite brief.
