He is not well known in Spain, except for appearing briefly as a policeman in “The Hangover”, but in the United States he was a celebrity for his comedy shows. Brody Stevens committed suicide at his Los Angeles residence, where he was found on Friday, February 22, 2019. He was 48 years old.

Born May 22, 1970, in Los Angeles, Steven Brody (his real name) was the son of a private investigator of Jewish origin. In high school he excelled on the baseball team, but a hand injury prevented him from playing the sport professionally. In Seattle he became the host of “Brody and Teina,” a television show.

After a time performing at venues in New York, he moved back to his hometown, where he soon became a regular on the stand-up comedy circuit. He soon became a regular face on top-rated shows like “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”. He debuted on the big screen as a very episodic secondary of Blind Ambition, a forgotten comedy. Following his lawman role  in The Hangover , he reprized in the sequel,  The Hangover 2: Now in Thailand! , embodying another character, a hitman for the gangster played by  Paul Giamatti . With one of the protagonists of the saga of the crazy bachelor party,  Zach Galifianakis , he also took part in Salidos de cuentas , as a limo driver, and on the HBO show  Enjoy It .

Unfortunately  Brody Stevens  suffered from bipolar disorder. A few days before his death, she performed at the Sunset Strip theater in West Hollywood, without anything foreshadowing his sad end.
