She began her career as a weekend anchor in Charlottesville, Virginia. Over his nearly 12-year career, Mack has covered the Virginia Tech shootings, interviewed former President Jimmy Carter, Sissy Spacek (autism spokesperson), and other famous comedians and celebrities.
