Brian Quinn is an American comedian, actor, producer, and podcaster, notable for the name “Q” on TruTV’s popular show Impractical Jokers . He is also known as a founding member of the improv troupe The Tenderloins . He has also acted in several films such as War Shots (1999), Vulgar (2000) and Victor Crowley (2017). - He is the middle child of James and Carol Quinn.
- In high school, he participated in theater and several other athletic activities. At the time he was also working at the Fulton Fish Market as a fish catcher.
- Growing up, he went through a difficult period of depression.
- Before starring in TruTV’s popular series Impractical Jokers in 2011, Brian worked as a tour operator at Beachland Amusements , video clerk at Blockbuster and later he worked at the New York City Fire Department as a firefighter for 8 years.
- In 1997 Brian was hired by filmmaker Kevin Smith to work at his company Watch Askew Productions .
- He is the co-host of the trio podcast Tell Them Steve-Dave! alongside Walter Flanagan and Bryan Johnson.
- In 2009, Brian was arrested in Germany after being punched in the face by a police officer for his unlawful conduct. The police officer hit him so hard that his teeth fell out. He was later deported back to the US, where he was rescued by his friends.
- In the past he was diagnosed with a variety of flu symptoms called encephalitis and meningitis. However, with the right treatment and care, Brian managed to recover quickly.
- In 2016, while practicing for the Impractical Joker Live Nitro Circus Spectacular run on his quad bike, Brian had a devastating accident which left him with two broken ribs, a few muscles in his neck and multiple nerve injuries in his left hip.
- Brian has 3 cats named Brooklyn, Chessie and Benjamin. The hiring of his cat, Benjamin, is often used as a deterrent in punishment for Sal, who has a great fear of cats, particularly the human-sized version of Benjamin.
