Brian Patrick Lamb, known as Brian Lamb, is an American journalist and the retired CEO of C-SPAN. He was born on October 9, 1941 in Lafayette, Indiana, USES .
He lives with his wife, Victoria in Arlington, Virginia. He lived primarily in Washington, DC. The two married in 2005 and met in St Mary’s Cathedral and dated since the 1970s. They resumed their relationship in 1998. He was an entertainer and spent time as a disc jockey and drummer in many local groups.
He had an early interest in television and radio and landed his first radio job with WASK (AM) when he was just 17 years old. During his college years, he was the coordinator of Dance Date, which was similar to Dick Clark’s ABC series. , American bandstand. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech in 1963.

In 1977 Lamb started a nonprofit television network that would broadcast the official proceedings of Congress. His idea was approved in December 1977 and the CSPAN (Cable-Satellite Public Affairs Network) was created. When launched, it had an annual budget of US$450,000. They made their first broadcast on March 19, 1979.
In 2010, CSPAN reached over 100 million homes and employed 275 people in Washington DC and its archives in West Lafayette. Since 2011, CSPAN has had 3 networks, CSPAN, CSPAN2 and CSPAN3. Lamb retired as CEO of the network and now he is the executive chairman of its board of directors. He ceded control to Rob Kennedy and Susan Swain.
