BIOGRAPHY OF BRIAN DOYLE-MURRAY
Brian Doyle-Murray (Brian Murray) is an American actor, comedian, voice actor and screenwriter. He appeared in several films including Caddyshack, Scrooged, Ghostbusters II, Groundhog Day and The Razor’s Edge. Brian co-starred in the TBS sitcom on Sullivan & Son, where he played the rude Hank Murphy.
He also appeared in the Nickelodeon animated series SpongeBob SquarePants as The Flying Dutchman, Cartoon Network’s original animated series My Gym Partner’s a Monkey as Coach Tiffany Gills, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack as Captain K’Nuckles , and, also in a recurring role, as Don Ehlert on the ABC sitcom The Middle.

Brian Murray was born on October 31, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He turns 73 in 2018. The name Doyle is his grandmother’s maiden name and Brian chose to cut it to avoid confusion with another actor.

He was one of nine children of Irish American Lucille (née Collins), a mailroom clerk, and Edward J. Murray II, a lumber salesman. His parents were also Catholic.
His siblings are : Bill Murray, John Murray, Joel Murray, Edward Murray III, Nancy Murray, Peggy Murray, Andy Murray and Laura Murray. One of her sisters, Nancy is an Adrian Dominican Sister from Michigan and travels the country playing Saint Catherine of Siena.

Murray then landed a small role as assassin Jack Ruby in JFK (1991). He was also seen in the movies Sixteen Candles (1984), Club Paradise (1986), Legal Eagles (1986), How I Got Into College (1989), Jury Duty (1995), Multiplicity (1996), The Jungle Book: Mowgli’s Story (1997), As Good as It Gets (1997), Dr Dolittle (1998), Stuart Little (1999), Kill the Man (1999), Bedazzled (2000), Snow Dogs (2002), Nearing Grace (2005)), Daddy Day Camp (2007) and 17 Again (2009).

Brian was bubble boy father Mel Sanger on Seinfeld, and also played Joe Hackett’s baseball coach on a 1992 episode of Wings. Bakersfield PD from 1991 to 1992 and from 1993 to 1994, respectively. He also had a recurring role as sportswriter Stuart Franklin on the Fox/UPN television series Between Brothers from 1997 to 1999.
